Benno van der Laan is Senior Vice President and heads the Washington DC office of Interel Consulting, Inc. In cooperation with Interel’s offices in Europe, this office provides European Affairs consultancy services to Interel clients based in the U.S. in their own location and time zones. 

Benno started his career in public affairs and government relations in Brussels in 1991 and over the years he has designed and executed numerous advocacy campaigns in many policy areas. In 2001 Benno opened the firm’s EU affairs office in Washington, DC, pioneering the provision of EU consultancy services in the U.S.
