The European Union is about more than just law-making, but the hub for ideas, innovation and best practise that attracts the attention of a wide variety of non-political stakeholders from a range of fields and specialisations – in particular science, medicine and technology.
Engaging these stakeholders in policy debates can be an invaluable means to provide an issue – particularly a neglected one - with the necessary credibility and momentum, giving politicians direct access to their expertise and insight.
We are practised in making use of the full range of non-legislative opportunities – conferences, resolutions, recommendations as a means of putting an issue on the agenda, and ensuring that it resonates not only in Brussels, but at Member State level.
