Catherine Stewart is a senior EU public affairs professional in Brussels with over 25 years’ experience of leading campaigns to influence the direction of European policy and legislation.

As Chairman of Interel European Affairs, Catherine provides strategic advice on EU policy issues to a broad range of clients in sectors as diverse as energy, ICT and financial services. With her extensive experience of EU affairs and her network of contacts at the highest level in Brussels she advises major multinationals on the effective restructuring of their global public affairs activities and is entrusted with confidential and targeted opinion research about their companies amongst senior and influential policy makers.
 

With the growing globalisation of public affairs, Catherine is responsible for developing and broadening the Interel Partners Network in EU Member States and key third countries to provide clients with experienced advisors in the major economies jurisdictions throughout the world.

Catherine founded and managed one of the most highly-respected EU public affairs consultancies in Brussels, Cabinet Stewart which merged with Interel European Affairs in April 2008. She is a founder member and Vice-President of the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP) and is closely involved in the debate on an EU interest representation Register. She is on the Executive Board of the Belgo-British Conference and is a Council Member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium.
